What is Regression Therapy?
According to the method developed by Dr. Brian Weiss, during regression therapy a moderate hypnotic state is induced, during which however the patient never loses consciousness. It is a state similar to a guided deep meditation. Regressions are a very relaxing and pleasant experience.
What are the benefits of a regression session?
Just like in traditional psychotherapy, when traumas are remembered, symptoms are alleviated. The remembering of “just short moments of previous lives” is often enough to give the person insight into his or her present life and to open that person’s mind to the possibility of soul survival, reincarnation, etc. It can produce a change regarding serious therapeutic issues, but in those cases it is more common to explore the memory in more depth in order to effect change.
Everyone had a past life and can remember it through hypnosis?
It is not difficult to remember past lives. 75% of patients can remember past lives easily. Even during workshops or seminars, 50 or 60% of participants have regressions and remember past lives.
Does all this have a scientific background?
Of course. Thanks to neuroimaging techniques (MRI, PET), in the last 20 years many studies have been conducted and demonstrate that areas of the pre-frontal cortex of the brain are activated during a session of hypnosis therapy. These same areas are not usually active in a normal awake state of consciousness. Moreover, there are thousands of documented cases of people who found their graves, places where they lived or registries with their names...
